Héctor Guerra is a world famous global bass singer and producer. I was asked to do the cover for the release of his new single, where he collaborates with Adán Cruz, a mexican rapper. Both Héctor and Adán have very different styles. While Héctor tends to a latin-american ethnic image, Adán reflects a contemporary urban -but clean- look.
The goal was to mix both tendencies and make a single statement. "Yo soy Dios", -I am God- the name of the song, marked the path to follow during the design process. I blended classic elements from the huichol culture (the deer, which is an interpolation of god for this culture) with simple, sharp and everyday geometric forms. This was the result.
